In 2017, i went to an Amazon Cloud meeting in London with a question, ‘what is the algorithmic transparency and accountability of this product’? The nervous, slightly cringe worthy body language came back with a reply ‘that’s too sensitive’ and then bizarrely a robot voice on the tannoy said ‘this meeting is now finished’

Afterwards someone, who said they were from Saudi Arabia, asked me how i knew to ask that question? I asked that question because i had cared enough to ask someone else ‘what the hell is going on here?’ And they knew what was going on…
