Hypernormalisation

hypernormalization describes what many of us are feeling. whether it’s about our increasingly authoritarian govt or ai.

both are trying to create false realities using social media, traditional media, cults of personality, greed and antiquated anti-human ideologies.

neither are remotely normal and both are driven by bottomless greed, pursuits of unchecked power and classism. if you oppose one but support the other, you’re supporting both.

both make huge promises that they will usher in a new prosperity, but obscure that it’s meant for the wealthy elite, not everyday people. both are based on extreme ideological bias, whether it’s racism, colonialism or eugenics.

the ai industry is not a technology, it’s an ideology. one that is authoritarian by nature and is happily supporting a govt that is the same.
